Roscoe Emerson Gulliver, 78, of Dowagiac passed away Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2021, at home.
“Rocky”, as he was known by most, was born April 13, 1943, in Benton Harbor, the son of Roy and Wilma Gulliver, both of whom precede him in passing. Also preceding him in passing are his wife, Cheryl “Chris” Gulliver on March 17, 2014; and a brother, Donald Gulliver.
Rocky’s passion for the sport of bowling led him and his late wife to own and operate Lakes Bowl of Sister Lakes for many years.
Rocky is survived by two sons: Daniel Gulliver and David Gulliver; a daughter, Victoria Gulliver Grote; four grandchildren: Erika, Amelia, Gwen and Erich; three great-granddaughters: Rachel, Raven and Rubie; an adopted son, Doug Briney; and a sister, Patricia.
The family will welcome friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 10, at the Sister Lakes Community Church, where the service to honor his memory will commence at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 11, with Pastor Scott Stambaugh officiating. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart of Mary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Rocky’s name may be made to the Lions Club of Sister Lakes.
