Robert Melvin Moore, age 87, of Hartford, Mich., passed away April 6, 2022, at Pine Ridge Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Marjorie Moore; children, Roberta (Dan) Durso of Florida and David (Ann) Moore of North Carolina; sister, Clara Demske of Coloma; one grandchild; two step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and one step-great-great grandchild.
Born in Niles, Bob lived in Michigan all his life; 45 years in Hartford. He worked at Coloma Menasha Corporation for 42 years. He was the president of the United Paper Makers and Paper Workers local chapter for several years. After retiring, Bob and Marjorie traveled in their motor home and saw all but seven of the 50 states.
Bob liked camping with family and friends, fishing, and hunting. At one time, he had a side business of repairing and selling lawn mowers, and was always working on some kind of car repair for others. He enjoyed having coffee with the “guys” at the Panel Room. Since he lived close to the race track, he attended many races.
A memorial service to honor Bob's memory will take place at 11 a.m., on Friday, April 29, at Maple Hill Cemetery, Hartford. The family has entrusted the Calvin Funeral Home, Hartford, with arrangements. Those wishing to leave condolences for the family may do so at http://www.calvin-leonardfh.com.
