Louise Ann McCoy

Louise Ann McCoy of Dowagiac passed away at the age of 88 on Monday, June 29, 2020, at Lakeland Medical Center, St. Joseph. Louise was born on July 23, 1931, in Parkers Prairie, Minn., the daughter of Charles and Ella (Minders) Miller.

Louise loved working crossword puzzles and watching her favorite sports teams, the Detroit Tigers and the Minnesota Vikings; however, her most precious times were spent playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Louise leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving daughter, Brenda (Bob) Miston of Dowagiac; her grandson, Robert (Malynda) Miston of Niles; five great-grandchildren: Tyler Cross, Jared Henslee, Jonah Henslee, Chalee Miston and Noah Miston; two sisters, Joan Dunford of Tomah, Wis., and Charlene Jorgenson of Bloomington, Minn.; and tons of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Louise was preceded in passing by her husband, L.T. McCoy in 2005; a granddaughter, Amy Henslee in 2011; nine brothers; and three sisters.

The family will welcome friends at the Calvin Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 3, for a procession to Hill Cemetery in Lawrence, where at 11 a.m. Louise will be laid to rest with a graveside service.
