Harold Ryan Obituary


On Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2020, Harold Lee Ryan, loving husband and father of two children passed away at age 74.


Harold was born on March 7, 1946, in Benton Harbor, to JB and Lorene Ryan. He graduated from Hartford High School in 1965. And then proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968.


He met the love of his life, Alice (Dykema), and was married in November 1968. He worked as a mechanic for Hartford Public Schools from 1979 to 1993, and then went to work for Boshe Braking where he retired. He had a passion for working on and building cars and hot rods and showing his cars at shows.


Harold was proceeded in death by his father, JB Ryan; and his mother, Lorene Ryan (Moss). He is survived by his loving wife, Alice Ryan; and his two sons: Timothy (Kim) Ryan, and Jeremy Ryan; his brother, Larry (Gloria) Ryan; his sisters: Lois (Leamon) Pruitt, and Peggy (John) Strong; and many cousins; nieces; and nephews.


Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
