Obituary
Betty Ruth Cress, 89, of Bangor passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at home.
Betty was born on Feb. 23, 1934, in Plant City, Fla., the daughter of Thomas and Odessa (Blair) Hall, both of whom precede her in passing. Also preceding her in passing are her husband, Floyd Cress; a son, Terry Totherow; three daughters: Beverly Anderson, Frances Hall and Robbie Starman; six sisters; and six brothers.
Betty is survived by five daughters: Peggy Chambers (Junior Collins), Shirley (Allen) Briggs, Marie Tunstill, Dedie Cress (Kevin Kittleson) and Sally (Rev. Michael) Wooten; a son-in-law, Robert Starman; 25 grandchildren; 19+ great-grandchildren; a sister, Margie Hall (Lorenzo Solis); and two brothers, Bobby Hall and Paul Hall.
The family will welcome friends from noon-1 p.m., on Monday, April 17 at the Calvin Funeral Home, Hartford, where the service to honor her memory will commence at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Michael Wooten officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Those wishing to leave condolences for the family may do so at http://www.calvin-leonardfh.com.
