William “Bill” Drake

William "Bill" Drake, 52, of Van Auken Lake in Bangor, died March 21, 2018, at home. He passed away after a long illness.

He is the son of Jerry and Mary Drake of Van Auken Lake in Bangor Township. He had two children, James Drake of Bangor and Angela Drake of Watervliet. He is also survived by four grandchildren; a brother, Jerry (Germaine) Drake of Bangor; one nephew and two nieces.

He worked at Drakes Tractor Repair at Van Auken Lake for many years. He loved spending time with his family, especially watching NASCAR with his dad.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Azur and Mary Sweet and Wilburn and Geneva Ballard; and his favorite uncle, Roy Ballard.

The family will welcome friends from 11 a.m. to noon on Monday, March 26, at the Calvin Funeral Home, Hartford.
