Tina Josephine Brausch

Tina was born Sept. 23, 1924, in Chicago, the daughter of Luigi and Josephine (Schifona) Dolce.


Tina passed away at the age of 93 on Monday Aug. 20, 2018, at Maple Lake Assisted Living in Paw Paw, formerly of Lawrence, Addison, Ill. and Chicago.


Tina married the late Robert P. Brausch on April 18, 1948, in Chicago; they enjoyed each others love and devotion for over 52 years and had seven children. She was a loving mother to: Marie (Jerry) Wiermanski, Nancy (the late Macy) Burt, James (Norma) Brausch, Steven (Sandy) Brausch, the late Robert J. (Deanna Polomcak), Annette Brausch and Lawrence (Tina) Brausch. She was “Grandma Tina” to 18 grandchildren and “GG Tina” to 30 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three great-grandchildren. Tina is also survived by two sisters-in law, and numerous nieces and nephews from the Brausch and Dolce families along with other family members and many friends.


Tina was a longtime member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church community in Hartford, where she gave happily of her time volunteering into her 90s. Tina was also a member of the Women's Altar Society, past funeral luncheon coordinator, past president of Lawrence Senior Club, member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars ladies auxiliary where she often called bingo for the fun of it, Maple Lake welcoming committee and benefactor to many charities. To meet Tina was to love Tina, she made friends wherever she went. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.


Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. EST, Friday, Aug. 24, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hartford, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Tina will be laid to rest next to Robert and near Bobbie in Hill Cemetery, Lawrence, followed by a luncheon at the church social hall. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Mercy Home for Boys and Girls, Chicago; or to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Hartford, - Hymnal Replacement Fund in memory of Robert and Tina Brausch.
