Teresa Victoria Struzik

Teresa Victoria Struzik, 89, of Hartford passed away Thursday, July 27, 2017, at Pine Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation, Stevensville.

Teresa was born Jan. 31, 1928, in Hammond, Ind., the daughter of Anthony and Tekla Goray, both of whom preceded her in passing. She was also preceded in passing by her husband of 62 years, Charles on Jan. 4, 2014; a sister, Stephanie; and two brothers, John and Anthony.

Teresa was a homemaker, who loved all her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchild, who were the special, true loves of her life. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hartford. She loved sewing, saying her rosary, meeting new people, Polish cooking and animals, especially a siamese cat named, Nick.

Teresa is survived by a daughter, Barbara (Dave) Walker of Hartford; grandson, Rob (Sarah) Steiner of Atlanta, Ga.; granddaughter, Becky Steiner of Holland; great-granddaughter, Amelia Steiner; numerous nieces and nephews; and dearest friends, Arthur and Cathy Morsaw of Hartford.

The family will welcome friends from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, July 30, at the Calvin Funeral Home, Hartford, where a rosary will be celebrated at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Arthur Morsaw officiating. Friends may also visit with the family from 10-11 a.m. Monday, July 31, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Hartford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by the Rev. German Perez-Diaz. Teresa will be laid to rest in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hartford. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations should be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Animal Aid.
