Santos Cruz was born on July 19, 1979, in Scottsboro, Ala., the son of David Sr. and Juana (Perez) Cruz.
Santos passed away on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026, at his home in Lawrence.
Santos loved watching football and NASCAR. His laugh was contagious and a joy to be around, but most importantly spending time with his loving family, which consists of his daughter, Mercedes Cruz and granddaughter, Elliana Cruz; and eight brothers and sisters: David Jr. (Irma) Cruz, Alicia (David) Reyes, Cris (Belen) Cruz, Angel (Melissa) Cruz, Linda Merritt, Juan (Jasmine) Cruz, Blanca (Federico) Frausto, and Rocky Cruz.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 14, at the Calvin Funeral Home in Hartford. Burial will be at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 15, in Hill Cemetery, Lawrence.
