Rickey Carroll Willoughby

Rickey Carroll Willoughby of Eau Claire was born July 22, 1948, in Wardell, Mo., the son of James and Virginia (Phillips) Willoughby.

Rickey passed away at the age of 77, on Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2025, at his home.

Rickey was a 1966 graduate of Hartford High School. He was formerly employed at the Watervliet Paper Mill until it’s closing.

Rickey leaves behind to cherish his memory his life long partner, Barbara Hinz; two sons: Roger (Tina) Willoughby and Heath Willoughby; five grandsons; one granddaughter; one great-granddaughter and three sisters: Gwendolyn (Creight) Smith, Pamela Willoughby and Carol Anchor.

Rickey was preceded in passing by his parents; a brother, Ronnie Willoughby and a nephew, Ronnie Willoughby Jr.

The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 16, at the Calvin Funeral Home in Hartford, where at 7 p.m. the service to honor Rickey’s memory will be held. Deacon Arthur Morsaw will officiate. As per Rickey’s wishes cremation will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
