Maxine Ruth Burg

Maxine Ruth (Ruple) Burg was born April 25, 1920, in Lawrence to Clarence and Ida (Walter) Ruple. Maxine passed away Thursday, Nov. 15, 2018, at Lakeland Medical Center, St. Joseph, surrounded by loved ones.

Maxine was united in marriage with Earl Burg in August 1942. She was formerly employed at Burnette Food Inc., in Keeler for many years.

Maxine is survived by two sons: Robert Burg of Mountain Home, Ark., and Donald Burg of Hartford; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends.

Her husband, Earl, precedes her in passing, as did her daughter: Betty Jean (Gregg) Yeske of Watervliet; her parents; three sisters: Marvil (Riley) Utter, Marilyn (Bill) Schilling and Marjorie Ruple; and two brothers: Stanton Ruple and Max Ruple.

The family will welcome friends from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 20 at Calvin Funeral Home in Hartford, with a celebration of life service to honor her memory at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 21 at the funeral home. Maxine will be laid to rest in Keeler Cemetery next to her husband. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to a charity of your choice in Maxine's name.
