Larry Joe Rach

Larry Joe Rach, of Bangor was born Nov. 3, 1946, in Dowagiac. He was the son of Emil and Lucille (Kelly) Rach. Larry passed away at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence in Kalamazoo on Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2017.

Larry was formerly employed at Pullman Industries. He loved his family dearly and would do anything for them. He was honorably discharged from the army in 1969. The family will welcome friends from 5:30-6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12 at the Free Methodist Church in Bangor, followed by a celebration of life service. The Rev. Dan Stout will officiate. As to Larry's wishes, cremation will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan. On Nov. 19, 1977, Larry was united in marriage to April Read and she survives. Larry is also survived by six children: Melissa (Daniel) Walantyn of South Haven, Rebekah Rach of Muskegon, Cynthia Louie of Bangor, Heidi (Jacob) Wickham of South Haven, Larry Rach Jr. of San Antonio, and Elizabeth Rach of Olivet; 21 grandchildren. and a sister, Lois Ann Albers of South Haven.

Larry was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Angel Norfolk, and his parents.
