Krystal Nadine McNew-Hash

Krystal N. McNew-Hash, of Baroda, was born on Sept. 11, 1973, the daughter of Karlis McNew and Marjorie Lewis-Young.

Krystal passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2025, at her home.

Krystal is survived by her mother, Marjorie Young; two daughters, Courtney and Brittany; two sons, Brandon and Justin; fifteen grandchildren: Diana, Autumn, Ayla, Bentlee, Ziland, Octavia, Waylon, Ryleigh, Ashlynn, Eric, Zeus, Marilyn, Elanor, Remington and Marissa; five siblings: Kim Wheeler, Travis Mead, Tiffany McKay, James Mead and Karla Mead; a special niece, Jamie Mead; along with numerous other family members and friends.

Krystal was preceded in passing by her father, Karlis McNew; step-father, Ralph Young; grandmother, Geraldine Sturgeon and grandfather, Mitchell Lewis.

The family will welcome friends from 10 to 11 a.m., on Monday, Sept. 22, 2025, at the Calvin Funeral Home in Hartford, where at 11 a.m., a traditional Native American service will take place, with Kevin Daugherty officiating. As to Krystal’s wishes, cremation will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
