Kenneth Monroe Thompson

Kenneth Monroe Thompson was born Jan. 14, 1962, in Dexter, Mo., the son of RL and Louise Thompson. He departed this world on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025, at his home in Bangor.

Kenneth enjoyed hunting and was a carpenter by trade.

Kenneth is survived by his five children: Kenneth Thompson, Jacqueline VanAvery, Lacey VanAvery, Samantha and Amanda. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren: Seth Thompson, Alexa Thompson, Brielle Thompson, Ethan Little, Aiden Hutchins, Jimmy VanAvery, Karson VanAvery, Ryder Fairbanks, Logan VanAvery, Ryan VanAvery, Adrian VanAvery and James VanAvery, four sisters: Carol, Margaret, Kay and Sandra; a brother, Jim and his ex-wife, Janene Thompson.

Kenneth was preceded in passing by his parents; a sister, Jenett and his ex-wife, Francis.

The family will welcome friends from noon-1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 19, at the Hartford Bible Church, followed by a service to honor Kenneth’s memory. Pastor Benjamin Williamson will officiate. After the service cremation will take place. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.
