Kathy Lynn Carpenter

Kathy Lynn Carpenter was born April 5, 1959, in St. Louis, Mo., the daughter of Wayne and Joyce (Meyer) Burton. Kathy passed away Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2019, at Ascension Borgess Hospital at the age of 59.

Kathy was a homemaker who loved being at home with her children and grandchildren. Her pastime was playing all kinds of games on her phone.

Kathy was the wife of Skippy Carpenter and the mother to four children: Marilyn (Mike) Baham, of Kalamazoo, Carolyn (Porky) Baham of Grand Junction, Richard Baham of Kalamazoo and Bobbie Sue (Dale) Baham of St. Johns, and her beloved dog, Lucy. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a brother, Wayne Burton; four sisters: Chris Recktenwald, Betty, Lou Partl, and Grace Burton.

Kathy was preceded in passing by her first husband, Phillip Baham; her parents, and her favorite dog, Cuddles.

The family will welcome friends from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, at the Calvin Funeral Home Hartford where at 2 p.m. a celebration of life service to honor Kathy's memory will be held. Pastor Stacey Wilder of the Calvary Bible Church of Dowagiac will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Skippy.
