Jon Robert Simon

Jon Robert Simon, 63, of Bloomingdale Township passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2026, at his home.

Jon was born May 1, 1963, in Paw Paw, the son of Richard Frederick Simon and Shirley Ann Conklin. He grew up alongside family and friends in Lawrence, Mich., and attended Lawrence High School. Following high school, Jon had a career in Warehouse Management and spent most of his free time watching Michigan football (GO BLUE!). He enjoyed gardening, being in nature, spending time with family, going to sporting events, and having a nice cold one with friends.

Jon is survived by his wife, Sharon (Vitek); two daughters, Nikki (Logan) Gordy and Taylor (Nick) Nugent; three grandchildren: Kinsley, Nolan, and Lucas; his mother, Shirley; and two sisters, Valerie (Scott) McKinley and Kimberly Simon-Garland.

Jon is preceded in death by his father, Richard.

As per Jon’s wishes, cremation will take place. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at noon on Monday, Nov. 9, followed by a memorial service celebrating Jon’s life at 1 p.m. at Lawrence United Methodist Church, with Pastor Douglas Tipken officiating. There will be a luncheon to follow the services. The family has entrusted the Calvin Funeral Home, Hartford, with arrangements.
