J. Marcos Reyna

J. Marcos Reyna was born June 18, 1933, in Matehuala, San Luis Potosí, Mexico, the son of Nasario and Catalina (Gallegos) Reyna. “Marcos” as he was known, passed away on Aug. 28, 2018, at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo.

Marcos married the former Daria Solis and she survives, along with eight children: Teresa Castillo, Olegaria Ganus, Antonio Reyna, Efrain Reyna, Juan Reyna, Antonia Reyna, Rolando Reyna and Rafael Reyna. He is also survived by 33 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and five siblings: Francisca Reyna, Paubla Reyna, Eluteria Reyna-Solis, Zoyla Reyna-Zuniga and Gregorio Reyna.

Marcos was preceded in passing by his parents, six brothers and four sisters.

The family will welcome friends from 3-5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 3, 2018, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hartford. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 5 p.m. with the Rev. German Perez-Diaz as the celebrant. Marcos will then be flown to Mexico for burial. The family requests memorial donations in Marcos' name be made to the family.
