Ethelyn Marie Pastrick

Ethelyn Marie Pastrick, 82 of Hartford went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo.

"Chub", as she was known by most, was born May 16, 1936, in Allegan, the daughter of Chester and Luella (VanRiper) Swisher, both of whom precede her in passing. Also preceding her in passing was a granddaughter, Veronica Pockrandt and "Chub's" siblings: Opal Thompson, Audrey Wilson, Veronica "Bonnie" Snodgrass, Floyd Wesley "Butch" Swisher, Sr., Glenna Sanders, Luella "Sissy" Swisher, Jim Reed, Deana Bassett, Chester Swisher, Jerry Swisher, William "Bill" Swisher, Charlie Swisher and Jim "Grandpap" Swisher.

Ethelyn is survived by three children: Julie Smith, Robert (Paula) Bunn and Deana Burwell; grandchildren: Amber (Nick), Stella (Steve), Justin, Anna (Trayton), Tracey (Shirley), Shannon, Kaycie (Jason) and Matthew; twenty great-grandchildren; three siblings: Lulabelle Gilbert, Josephine Stone and Arthur Swisher, and many nieces, and nephews.

The family will welcome friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, at the Hartford General Baptist Church, where the service to honor her memory will commence at 3 p.m. with Pastor Steve Bisbee officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hartford. The family has entrusted the Calvin Funeral Home, Hartford, with handling the arrangements.
