Ernest Allen Daisy

Ernest Allen Daisy was born on Dec. 31, 1947 in Watervliet, Mich., the son of Howard and Agatha (Williams) Daisy. Ernest passed away at the age of 70 on July 25, 2018 at his home in Hartford.

Ernie, as he was known by most, owned Daisy Masonry. In his spare time he was an outdoors man, enjoying fishing, hunting and trapping.

On Dec. 22, 1972, Ernie married Karen Roe, who survives along with two sons; Brian (Marie) Daisy and Chad (Jennifer Brady) Daisy, both of Hartford, eight grandchildren; Skyler, Tonda, Simon, Julia, Exander, Avory, Trinity and Exavier. He is also survived by four sisters; Bonnie Daisy of Dowagiac, Judy Daisy-Sink of Coloma, Shirley Gallegos and Francine (Dorito) Galvan and a brother; Terry Daisy all of Dowagiac.

Ernie was preceded in passing by his parents and four siblings; Howard Daisy Jr., Karen F. Daisy, Jerry Daisy, and Arlene Beccera.

As to Ernie's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Traditional American Indian Ceremony with military rites will be conducted at 4 p.m. on Aug. 9, 2018 at the Rogers Lake Pavilion. In lieu of flowers, please send a sympathy card to the family. The Calvin Funeral Home in Hartford is assisting the family.
