Emily Kay Davis

Emily Kay Davis, 79, of Eau Claire passed away on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2025, at West Woods of Niles Nursing Home in Niles. She was born on Sept. 8, 1945, in Gary, Ind., the daughter of Malcolm Norris and Cora B. McCuen. Emily married Gaines Ray Davis, he preceded her in death on Aug. 18, 2007.


She is survived by two daughters: Tracy and (Mr) Martinez of Benton Harbor and Tina (Korrie) Lange of Watseka, Ill.; son, Terry Davis of Kokomo, Ind.; grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Jason Hayes, Andrya Hayes (fiance Matt Steele), Kira (Cassidy) Ratcliff, Kaylie Lange, Ethan Goff, Zachary Hayes, Emyliss Neely, Christapher Neely, Kloey Hayes, Kassidy Hayes, Scarlette Neely, Violette Neely, Caleb and Cohen Ratcliff, Andrea Barten, Rachel Pohl, AJ Davis, Jacob Davis, Alicia Pate, Crystal Shanks, Trisha Hernandez, Shane Coulter, Joshua Lawrence, Amy Jones, Adrian House.


Also surviving are her siblings: Elaine (Bill) Daughtery of Watseka, Elizabeth Walker of Watseka, Eddie Norris Sr., of Wadena, Ind., Ernie Norris of Morocco, Ind., Everett Norris of Indiana; many nieces and nephews: Bill O’Day, Deanne (Tom) Betourne, Corrina (Jamie) Hollis, Misty (Jason) Trumble, TJ Walker, Kimberli (Jeff) Jensen, Amy (Josh) Sorba, Becky Bush, Felicia Norris, Dale Norris, Paul Norris, Earl (Skip) Norris, Earl "peanut" Davis, Beverly Thacker, Bobby Davis, Robert Davis, Jamie Davis, Regina Davis, Angela Davis and Nicole L. Davis-Coulson, and her best friend, Donna Baisden.


In addition to her husband’s death, Emily was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Earl Norris; her sisters: Evelyn Webb, Dolly Goldsberry; sister-in-law, Becky Norris; niece, Irene Lopez; nephew, Eddie Norris Jr., sons: Michael Davis and Duncan Davis; grandson, Michael Davis Jr., and great-granddaughter, Corbin and special friend, Joann Rudisill.


Emily enjoyed spending time with her daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to crochet doilies, sing, dance, playing cards and dice, also putting puzzles together and playing bingo with her friends at the nursing home.


Our Mother Emily Was SO LOVED.


Emily’s wish was to be cremated. There will be no services. Celebration of life will be held at a later date. The family has entrusted the Calvin Funeral Home, Hartford, with arrangements. Those wishing to leave condolences for the family may do so at http://www.calvin-leonardfh.com.
