Dawn Marie Lewis-Rummage

Dawn Marie Lewis-Rummage was born Feb. 3, 1961, in Watervliet, the daughter of James and Mary (Alexis) Lewis.

Dawn passed away at her home in Dowagiac, on Friday, Feb. 13, 2026, at the age of 65.

Dawn was employed as a printer at Imperial Printing. She then retired as a medical transporter in Arizona. Her most precious times were spent with her loving family. She enjoyed doing beadwork, sewing, going to pow wows, the beach, and cruising around in her car. She also loved watching her favorite football teams, the San Francisco 49ers and Michigan Wolverines.

Dawn leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving children: Shane Roy Rummage, Bryce Rummage, and Julius Rummage; her grandchildren: Dominik Rummage, Austin Rummage, Steeloh Rummage, Ryatt Rummage, and Kaiden Rummage. She is also survived by her siblings: Richard Lewis, Gail Miller (Lewis), William Lewis, Gerry Lewis, Carol Lewis, Dean Lewis, and Dale Lewis; her beloved best friend, Ruth Ann; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.

Dawn was preceded in passing by her parents; two brothers, Michael Lewis and James Lewis; and a niece, Hillary DeGraw.

The family will welcome friends, on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Calvin Funeral Home in Hartford, where a traditional Native American Service will be held.
