Cole Benjamin Birkhead

Cole Benjamin Birkhead, 16, of Hartford went to be with the Lord on Aug. 13, 2017. Cole was born on Nov. 7, 2000, to Nicole Nevins and Gary Birkhead.

Cole enjoyed the outdoors, playing a variety of sports, including football, basketball and baseball. Cole was happy to be with his friends and family, namely his brothers, Luke and Ryder.

Cole is survived by his parents; his brothers, Luke Andrew and Ryder Storm; grandfather, Gary (Barbara) Birkhead; uncles: Kevin Birkhead, Tony (Mandi) Birkhead and Troy Nevins; and many cousins and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Marjorie Lynn Emmons, Richard Nevins, and Joan Tanner.

Cole is allowing others to live on through Gift of Life Organ and Tissue Donation. His heart, kidneys, liver, and pancreas were gifted to those in need.

The family will welcome friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19 at the Full Gospel Assembly Church, Hartford, where the service to honor his memory will commence at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Shannon Truelove officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hartford. The family has entrusted the Calvin Funeral Home, Hartford, with arrangements.
