Magdaline Pierce, 81, of Hartford passed away Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013, at home.
Magdaline was born March 1, 1932, in Marie, Ark., the daughter of Clifford and Gertrude (Alred) Yeager, both of whom preceded her in passing. She was also preceded in passing by three sisters: Clara, Donarie and Orline; and three brothers: George, Billy and Charlie.
Magdaline worked in the housekeeping department at Lakeland Community Hospital, Watervliet, for 10 years before moving on to work at Michigan Fruit Canners. She was loyal to the Lord and loved attending the Full Gospel Assembly Church in Hartford.
Magdaline married Albert Pierce on May 7, 1947, and he survives, along with six children: Carol Applegate of Hartford; Patricia (Sam) Williams of Watervliet; Robert (Bonnie) Pierce of Dowagiac; Bethal Tredor and Jeanette (Vince) Tapp, both of Hartford; and Albert (Lisa) Pierce of Coloma; 16 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Shirley and Dorothy.
A graveside service to honor her memory will be at noon Thursday, Dec. 12, at Maple Hill Cemetery, Hartford, with Pastor Shannon Truelove officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Full Gospel Assembly Church. The family has entrusted the Calvin Funeral Home, Hartford, with arrangements.
